However, the non-integrated catering solution Mendocino Farms had relied on for years was causing numerous issues and could have stalled its growth in this important channel. Employees were double-entering catering orders, data could not be extracted, the website wasn’t mobile-friendly, and there was no way to leverage other tech partners.
As the brand rapidly expanded from 30 to 75 locations, it struggled to scale its catering program. The team recognized it needed to upgrade to a flexible catering platform that could integrate seamlessly with multiple POS and back office systems, reliably manage high order volume, and provide the first-party ordering experience and frictionless payment options its guests desire.
