The Olo Network is our new product suite that helps restaurants sell wherever guests make decisions - across LLMs, affiliate ecosystems, and emerging digital surfaces. Olo Accounts was the first product from the Olo Network, providing restaurants with passwordless login and unifying guest accounts across the Olo Network (not required for the Olo App). The Olo App is the next product we're launching, with more products to come.
The Olo App is a mobile app that guests can download to order, pay, and track orders at their favorite restaurants. Olo is building the Olo App by merging the best of first-party and third-party ordering. A few principles that we believe will be unique to the Olo App:
- One-click acquisition: Guests follow their favorite restaurants in the Olo App, which unlocks network-level data that is shared directly with the restaurants.
- Showcase your restaurant: Customizable profiles allow restaurants to offer a unique experience within the Olo App.
- Seamless, no commission: Orders will flow through Olo’s existing infrastructure, and restaurants will pay no commission.
No - the Olo App is designed to reach a different guest: the occasional orderer who isn't ready to download your app or bookmark your website, but who would order from you if it were more convenient. Think of it as an incremental demand channel that complements your first-party ordering, not a replacement for it.
The Olo App will be launching later this year (2026). Restaurants will not pay commission for orders placed through the Olo App.
