Introducing the Olo App: a smarter way to order food without the menu markups on other food delivery apps

After more than two decades of powering digital ordering behind the scenes for America’s favorite restaurants, the new Olo App offers a cost-conscious and convenient alternative for placing delivery and carryout orders.

New York, N.Y., - October 20, 2026 - Olo, the digital commerce platform for restaurants, today announced the launch of the Olo App, giving customers a smarter way to order from their favorite restaurants. Launching with more than 250 national and regional restaurant brands - and with new brands joining the app daily - the Olo App allows customers to browse, order and reorder from the restaurants they love and pay the prices they expect, without menu item markups.

Many customers have already experienced Olo without realizing it. For over two decades, Olo’s technology has powered digital ordering for more than 800+ restaurant brands across 90,000 locations, supporting more than 100 million unique customers annually and more than 3.5 million orders every day. Now, Olo is bringing the same trusted ordering experience that customers have been using for years when ordering from their favorite restaurants into one convenient app.

“More than 20 years ago, Olo was born out of a simple idea. What if you could order and pay for a coffee from your phone and have it ready when you arrived?” said Noah Glass, Founder & CEO of Olo. “Ever since, we've quietly powered digital ordering for the restaurants people know and love. The Olo App is the next chapter of that vision, giving consumers a simpler way to discover and order from their favorite restaurant brands in one place while preserving the direct relationships those brands have worked hard to build. It's a better experience for consumers and a more sustainable model for restaurants, with no menu price inflation and no barriers standing between great brands and the people and communities they serve.”

Restaurant Prices, No Surprises

A national study* commissioned by Olo found that while nearly 3-in-4 Americans (74%) anticipate delivery fees, only 1-in-4 (27%) expect individual menu items to cost more when ordering through third-party delivery apps. Moreover, among third-party delivery app users, 96-percent say they would change at least one ordering behavior after learning about potential menu markups.

Enter: The Olo App, which lets restaurant customers save by eliminating the pass-through markups often seen in other delivery apps. That is an average saving of 15-30% per menu item. Plus, customers can save when placing an order for pickup, eliminating delivery fees altogether.

“Ordering food should be simple for guests and fair for the restaurants that serve them,” said Corey Kline, EVP of Technology at Noodles & Company. “Somewhere along the way it became complicated, expensive on both sides, and disconnected from the restaurants people actually love. Our guests already rely on Olo’s technology every time they order from us, and the new app gives them another convenient way to discover us alongside other brands they enjoy, while preserving our direct relationship with them rather than routing orders through higher-commission marketplaces.”

Follow The Restaurants You Love

Customers create a personalized feed, free of sponsored ads and content, by simply following their favorite restaurants. Nearby locations are shown on an easy to read map, and with saved payment information and addresses, reordering favorite meals takes just a few taps.

Your Favorite Restaurants, All in One Place

At launch, the Olo App features more than 250 restaurant brands (and counting), including national favorites like Waffle House, Five Guys, Noodles & Company, Charley's Cheesesteaks, First Watch, and Dave’s Hot Chicken, as well as regional brands like Del Taco, Nekter Juice Bar, Shipley Do-Nuts,, and Krystal. It also features restaurant brands with smaller footprints but devoted fans, like Din Tai Fung, Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, and Hawkers Asian Street Food.

The Olo App also makes it easy for customers to support a meaningful cause during checkout. Customers ordering through the Olo App can round up their purchase to the nearest dollar to benefit No Kid Hungry, the national campaign run by the non-profit organization Share Our Strength dedicated to ending childhood hunger in the United States.

The Olo App is available to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store starting October 20.
